The New England Patriots’ defense once again met their latest challenge, shutting down the high-powered Dallas Cowboys in Week 12. The Patriots defense will take on another challenge when they face the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football (5:20 p.m. PT/8:20 p.m. ET, NBC) in a Week 13 game.

The Patriots (10-1) controlled the Cowboys and held Dallas without a touchdown for the first time in the Cowboys’ season during their 13-9 win. The Patriots’ defense is playing at a historic level, and has helped compensate for average – for him – Tom Brady performance in rainy conditions. The Texans (7-4) posted a big 20-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12, regaining sole possession of first place in the AFC South. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is capable of producing magical plays and the wide receiver duo of DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller is one of the most dangerous in the NFL. The key for the Texans could by running back Carlos Hyde – averaging 4.8 yards a carry – against a Patriots defense is vulnerable against the run.
